Privacy Policy

Effective: 11 May 2026  •  Last Updated: 11 May 2026

1. Introduction

LetsLearnNext ("we", "us") operates at letslearnnext.com. We provide an AI-powered, personalised learning platform for students across CBSE, ICSE and State boards in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and DPDP Rules, 2025.

2. Who This Covers

  • Students using the platform
  • Parents/guardians managing student accounts
  • Teachers and school administrators
Under the DPDP Act a child is anyone under 18. All student users are treated as children. We require verifiable parental/guardian consent before processing any child's data.

3. Data We Collect

Student data

Name, class, board, language preference, diagnostic quiz results, performance data, voice inputs (when used), progress/XP/streaks/badges, device type, browser, approximate location.

Parent/Guardian data

Name, email, mobile number, identity verification (Aadhaar-linked DigiLocker token or equivalent), report preferences.

Teacher/School data

Name, school name, email, class rosters, assignments.

Automatically collected

Log data (IP, browser, pages, timestamps), device identifiers, session duration. We do not store card data — payments go to PCI-DSS-compliant processors.

4. How We Use Data

  1. Providing the service (lessons, AI tutoring, assessments, rewards)
  2. Parental reporting (weekly summaries, weak-topic alerts)
  3. Teacher tools (assignments, analytics)
  4. Platform improvement (anonymised, aggregated)
  5. Transactional communication (no marketing emails to students)
  6. Legal compliance under DPDP Act, 2023

What we do NOT do

  • No behavioural tracking/profiling of children
  • No targeted ads for any user under 18
  • No selling/renting/trading of personal data
  • No commercial profiling of children

5. Parental Consent

Under Section 9 of the DPDP Act and Rule 10 of the DPDP Rules, 2025, we obtain verifiable parental/guardian consent before creating a student account. Simple checkboxes alone are not sufficient — we require identity verification (Aadhaar-linked DigiLocker or equivalent).

Withdraw consent any time via Parent Dashboard → Account Settings → Withdraw Consent, or email legal@letslearnnext.com. Data is deleted within 30 days of withdrawal unless retention is required by law.

6. Data Sharing

We share data only with: cloud hosting providers, payment processors, AI/ML service providers (contractually prohibited from training their own models on student data), and the enrolled school (for School-plan users). No data goes to advertising networks or data brokers.

7. Data Retention

Active account data: subscription + 12 months. Anonymised analytics: up to 3 years. Parent consent records: 5 years. Deleted account: purged within 30 days.
